Setting up D-LINK Routers with No-IP™ Dynamic DNS
How do I use my D-Link router to dynamically update my No-IP™ hostname?
Many models of D-Link routers such as the DI-604+, DI-614+, and DI-624+ have built in support for No-IP's Dynamic DNS Service (DDNS). For this example, we're using a D-Link DI-614+ wireless broadband router. If you have one of these or other D-Link models with the latest firmware, No-IP support is already built into it. Otherwise, if your D-Link router supports DDNS and looks similar to the image below, you can simply enter these values in the appropriate fields.
Logon to your router (Default IP Address is 192.168.0.1). Enter username (admin) and your password (blank by default). Note: If you have changed the default password then use the value you have changed it to. Go to the "Tools" tab at the top and then click on "Misc." on the left hand side. Scroll down to the "Dynamic DNS" section. (Newer versions of D-Link's firmware may look different)
Server Address: enter dynupdate.no-ip.com
Host name: enter the hostname (host.domain) you want updated.
Username: enter the email address that you use to login to the No-IP.com website
Password: enter your password for No-IP.com
NOTE: If you have more than one hostname to update, you can separate the entries by using commas. For example: thisrouter.no-ip.com,thatrouter.no-ip.com,anotherrouter.no-ip.com would update all of those hostnames with the same IP address.
If you are trying to update the IP of your entire domain, enter a dash "-" for the host.
For example, to update mydomain.com you would put -.mydomain.com in the Host Name field.
Be sure that DDNS is enabled on the page, then click apply and you're all set.
