How does Backup MX know when to send my server my e-mail that is waiting?
Our mail servers run on a schedule, where they will attempt to deliver your mail at the next scheduled interval.
Note: Please make sure that your server is truly functional when you put it back online. If your server is responsive but explicitly rejects, for any reason, a message we try to deliver then that message will bounce. We don't keep copies of bounced emails.
